My specialty is plastic surgery. And we are excited to have a brand new aesthetic center opening. MUSIC PLAYING The Aesthetic Center will be on the old McAlpin store site at Turfland Mall. It's on Harrodsburg Road. We have a 3,000-square feet facility. It's going to be comprehensive in all aspects of aesthetics and aesthetic surgery. My name is Amit Patel. And I'm a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon here at UK HealthCare. I think patients are going to love it here. Parking is right outside. Walk in anonymity, which is often important after you've had a procedure to be able to go straight from your car up to the clinic, and then having the surgical center right next door so that way everything is kind of in a central location just makes it easier. It's bringing the disciplines of cosmetic plastic surgery together with the discipline of facial plastic surgery that our ENT-trained surgeons. So we're combining the different specialties that treat the same types of conditions. But we're expanding our practice. Full-service activity. And we have a nurse practitioner who is fully trained in laser therapy, injectable therapies, and so forth. At UK HealthCare Center we are really excited to offer a whole range of services from basic through the advanced. We're going to be able to offer skin care, lasers, facials, microneedling. We can also offer injectables, so neurotoxins and filler. And then we can also segue those patients that may need surgery into that route with the surgeons that we have on staff. So there's really something for everybody from somebody who's just starting out to somebody who may be more experienced and is ready to take the next step in the surgery. One of the things that's really nice about the center is the multidisciplinary approach. We have providers, surgeons, nurse practitioners with a variety of different backgrounds in terms of aesthetic focus. Myself, I'm a facial plastic surgeon. I'm board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and also the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery. So I primarily do facial plastic surgery. We also have surgeons that are board certified plastic surgeons. And it's really nice. I always use the phrase, teamwork makes the dream work. I'm very excited to move into the new building. It's fresh. It's new. Everything is open and light. And I think it's going to be a really great service that we can provide our patients. There's plenty of parking. You can get here easily from not just Lexington, but all the surrounding areas as well. One of the things that's exciting about being in the world of aesthetic health at this point in time is just the amount of innovation that's going on. I think aesthetics is for everybody-- young, old, men, and women, everybody can take advantage of it. Skin care is very important for everybody. So everyone can take advantage of that. But then there's also so many other routes that you can go if you want to just be a little bit refreshed, look a little bit younger. We're all sitting in front of a camera right now on Zoom and looking at ourselves so much more. So I think people are really taking notice of that, and a lot of people are ready to start putting a little bit of an investment into themselves. Well, I think we will provide those types of spa services as well. But you'll also be in the midst of professionals, physicians that are trained and committed to aesthetic surgery and committed to achieving the highest quality of work. The amount of experience that our providers have-- I always say that experience is a kind of a fundamental thing for good results. Layer on teamwork. We take care of a lot of patients that have had traumas, cancer reconstruction, which really kind of pushes the imagination of surgeons. And we translate that to a team approach towards aesthetic care. It really just creates a whole new synergy. And then you sprinkle on a beautiful space that inspires, and well, it's a good place to be.
